Opportunities for cooperation between Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency and Enterprise Singapore were discussed on Monday in a meeting between Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Johnny Teo, Deputy Managing Director of Enterprise Singapore.
The meeting focused on the successful operations of four global accelerators in Georgia - Plug and Play, Startupbootcamp, 500 Global, and the Founder Institute — which aim to strengthen the country’s startup ecosystem and attract qualified professionals to the domestic market.
The officials highlighted the importance of the initiative in helping Georgian startups expand into international markets.
The Georgian side also emphasised the significance of the Kutaisi Technology Hub in supporting startup development and helping transform innovative ideas into viable businesses across the region.
The Georgian delegation is visiting Singapore to attend SWITCH (Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology), an Asian technology forum.
Georgia will participate in the event for the first time with a national pavilion titled StartUP in Georgia.
